Plumas County Veterans' Service Officer, Richard Turner 270 County Hospital Rd. Suite 104 Quincy, CA 95971 (530) 283-6275 The County Veteran Service Officer can help Veterans with information on Veterans' rights, and obtain applications for various Veterans' programs. Routine transport to medical appointments at Veterans' Administration Medical Center in Reno, and much more. Richard Turner is there to help Veterans and their families. Plumas Crisis Intervention and Resource Center 591 Main St. Quincy, CA 95971 (530) 283-5515 They provide services such as peer counseling, emergency shelter, food program, support services, crisis hotline and much more.

Crisis Hotline 1-877-332-2754 This is for crisis intervention, it operates 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.

Community Assistance Network (C.A.N.) 176 Lawrence St. Quincy, CA 95971 (530) 283-0262 C.A.N. is set up to help people in emergency situations with food. The Food Pantry philosophy is to help people for short periods with filling, nutritious food. They operate 2 sattelite locations: E.P.C.A.N. at 120 Nevada St. Portola, 836-4617 and Indian Valley Food Pantry at 224 Mill St. Greenville, 284-6353.

The Salvation Army 41784 Hwy. 70 Quincy, CA 95971 (530) 283-3632 They offer emergency assistance vouchers for gas, clothes, prescriptions, lodging and emergency auto repairs. They can help a Veteran who is in a crisis situation, both transient and local.

Plumas County Alcohol and Drug 270 County Hospital Rd. Rm. #229 Quincy, CA 95971 (530) 283-6316 This agency provides counseling for individuals, families, and couples that are effected by drug and alcohol abuse. They have many different programs that a Veteran can take advantage of. They cover: Portola, Greenville, Chester, and Quincy.

Veterans' Clinic 351 Hartnell, Redding, CA 96002 (530) 226-7555 Medical, dental and counseling is available to qualified Veterans under certain conditions. Take a copy of your DD-214.
